Milovan Prelevic
Serbia

Coming from a family of artists, Milovan enrolled at the Djordje Krstic arts school in Nis (1996). Soon after, he started at the Academy of Arts of Novi Sad (2000) and continued his studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. He is an experimented artists who uses art as a form of universal communication. His format strongly relies on mixed media, from oil and acrylic, to charcoal, pastels, wood and textured gold sheets.
His series Portals explores human displacement, or movement from one place to another; a form of artistic expression that could be understood as kynesthesia if viewed from a cognitive stance. Beyond displacement, his oeuvre makes reference to the crossing from a cultural, social, intelectual and ideological dimention to another.
